Little Cat Lodge
As Studio Love Is Enough designed the interiors for Little Cat Lodge, a boutique hotel at the foot of Catamount Ski Resort, they contacted NYH about transforming onsite trees into hotel furniture. No trees needed to be removed, so Megan crossed the street to Catamount Ski Resort who, as it turned out, was to start clearing four acres for new ski runs the following week.
Selecting the most interesting oak and maple logs from the pile, NYH diverted over 2000 board feet of material from becoming firewood. After having the logs milled and the wood kiln dried, the oak was used to fabricate many of Lodge’s bed frames and with the maple we created all dining room tabletops as well as furniture for a special lofted hotel suite.
